About Pamela Kay
I became a Realtor in 2000 after I used a Realtor who disappeared after submitting my offer to a seller leaving me to fend for myself. When the seller could not get ahold of him, they called me directly to accept my offer. I negotiated on my own behalf to deny his commission for "the buyers side"crediting it to my Escrow fees and won! After that I enrolled in College RE courses. As a single mom, I was able to earn what was needed to raise my 2 children on my own, thanks to my real estate profession. It has been such a blessing to be given the opportunity to represent so many really wonderful people achieve their real estate goals. To buy the family home; to invest for the future; or create financial security through real estate. I hope to continue for many years to come. This is a tangible way to help others and it is very hard work but is very rewarding. In a very uncertain time, one thing is certain; People need a place to live. Prices may fluctuate, but over time, they eventually move upward. So if you, like most people, want financial security, then Real Estate ownership and investing may be for you. I really love to see people achieve the dream of ownership as I did. Even better, to pass on this to their children as I have been able to do to help them start out small with a condo, then use the equity to buy a home. That patience, hard work and financial discipline do pay off. Sometimes though life pitches you a curve ball. A loss so great everything gets lost. You may lose a loved one, a job you spent your whole life working for, a financial loss so great you think you'll never recover. I have helped people in exactly those situations with their homes during some of these losses. It is so important to have someone in your corner who can help guide you through the problem solving part of these events. Sometimes selling a house is a solution,or, moving out to lease it for a while. Sometimes a loan on the property can quickly solve a financial problem aloowing you to stay for a while but may require a longer term solution. Whatever the case, Real Estate is about much more than selling or buying something. It's about peoples relationships, feelings, desires and hopes. When a woman can't remember to pay her mortgage because she is mourning her husbands death so much she goes into forclosure, she needs a Realtor to sell her house before the forclosure and buy a place that she can afford on her now, one income. When a bank forecloses on a family of 6 when they find out their equity loan is predatory, they need a Realtor to help them sell before forclosure and buy a place that they can afford. When child loses a parent without any warning and ends up in probate, a Realtor will help prepare and sell their inherited property. She can help them get the most they can out of it so they can know they honored that parent by doing the best to preserve that parents love and hard work they provided for the future of their family. It is such an honor whether to help the young couple buy their first house together or to settle the sale of a beloved family home. To share these families turning points becomes a story that I remember; part of my story now too.
